Have you heard of 福笑い (ふくわらい)? It is a traditional New Year's game in Japan. Face parts are scattered on a sheet with an outline of a face. Blindfolded players place the parts anywhere on the face—and see who ends up with the funniest (or the most normal-looking) result.
We use this traditional game to help students practice Japanese for eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and more. Listen to the Japanese pronunciation and see who can build the funniest face!
